Contemporary Galley Kitchen Design in Bermondsey

This Bermondsey kitchen project set out to deliver a space that was as hardworking as it was visually striking. Every element was carefully considered to ensure the finished result balanced refined aesthetics with practical, everyday usability

The kitchen was designed as a galley-style layout, making intelligent use of the available footprint to maximise both storage and workflow efficiency. Deep matte cabinetry runs the full length of both walls, creating a bold, confident presence that anchors the entire space. Brushed steel bar handles add a clean, contemporary edge, while reeded glass wall units introduce a subtle decorative detail and allow light to pass through the upper cabinetry. White worktops and a full-height marble-effect splashback run continuously across both runs, keeping the look cohesive and adding brightness to offset the darker cabinetry. Under-cabinet lighting illuminates the worksurfaces beautifully, enhancing both the atmosphere and the practicality of the space during food preparation.

Integrated Neff appliances, including a gas hob, oven, and extractor, are set seamlessly within the cabinetry, maintaining the clean lines of the overall design. A Caple undermount sink sits flush within the quartz worktop alongside brushed steel mixer and hot water taps, completing a workspace that is as considered in its detailing as it is in its layout.Natural light from the window at the end of the galley softens the overall feel, ensuring the kitchen remains welcoming and bright despite the bold, dark colour palette. The result is a kitchen that feels refined and calm…room designed to work as hard as it looks.
